My Shoe Tree

In free verse on May 8, 2011 at 1:42 pm

Hand knit woolen slippers for comfort and to feel soothed,

Winter boots lined with fur to endure the coldest winters,

Rain boots to protect them through the strongest thunder storms,

Stileto heels to feel sexy, desired and wanted privately,

Runners to embrace health and vitality,

Water shoes for the most beautiful beaches to cover from the odd normal stone,

Ballet shoes for when I feel like becoming visual art to watch,

This would be my tree of shoes.

Come hither into this poetry house for you are invited,
She will pour you a cup of organic jasmine tea,
Or perhaps you would prefer organic fair trade coffee?
Adorned with artistic poetry props,
To entice the mind with words of pleasure,
Perhaps thought provoking or informative to your mind,
Glittering with alluring jewels of entertainment sensations,
The aroma she permeats is refreshing lemon balm,
Arousing minds to desire her writing company,
Creativity and her feathered quill dipped in ink,
Papyrus smeared with Gods’ nature, imagination or information,
Serving her reading guests and clients while filling their poetic appetites.

The Flower Moon of May

Flower Moon sits in the darkened sky,

An orb of guidance for our seedlings too grow,

A divine sign from God to begin our gardens,

The moon casts its’ beams into our planter’s hands.

The flower moon emits light of Divine instruction of sowing food or flowers from God.

On our knee’s in front of our beds of earth,

Vegetables to harvest in future months for food,

Nourishment for our flesh embedded in the soil,

Exquisite and intoxicating perfumes within the buds and blossoms,

Visual delights in exotic shapes and colors.

Lands begin bursting in hues of bold colors and aroma’s led by Gods’ moon lit glow.

On May 17th the flower moon will glow. They claim it is a sign of when to begin your gardening. In scripture God led certain festivals with the moon. On the 18th, we are going to try to plant a few things in pots in celebration of him igniting the sky to let us know.

The Unintentional Geisha

Trained as a great artisan of entertainment,
Delighting minds and spirits over tea while serving them hand and foot,
Dancing in exotic gowns of silk that are embroidered,

Her company is sought out and desired,
Enticing and enriching the senses of our souls.

The highest paid Geisha’s in Japan are not prostitutes. They are hired to  entertain and are trained right up until they are in their 70’s. They are a great hostess for they serve their guests hand and food.  They are moving artisans and hired for their services. Much like poets, writers or even singers are. They do remain single. A true Geisha does not allow further contact other than an illusion to men who visit her.

This of course being said not all men enjoy the artist type of women of song and dance and I am unsure of other forms of artistry these women train in. Poetry can be read aloud, and one can paint their portrait if they are trained in that particular art.

We drink the sweetest nectar of her nourishment,

The finest gem of wisdom is spoken from her tongue,

Aromatic incense of encouragement lingers in smoke,

Disciplinarian instruction for the richest growth,

Bathed in her fine oils of love and forgiveness,

Knowledge rains down in teachings of language and life skills,

Scented in perfumes of comfort and warmth,

Remembered and cherished for all of time into eternity,

The maternal embrace and her influences illuminate all souls.

Soul Cake

aptivating all your hunger for substance of gourmet desserts that are rich.

lluring your palate for the biggest slice of it that you can fit on your plate.

indling your desire to savor it as much as you can on your tongue.

xotic decorations like icing and candies to appease your senses.

This is an acrostic poem, so the first letter on each line placed together spells cake. It is for the Sunday Scribblings of the week.

The opulent cake of the soul.

Teachers On Our Path

“The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind.”

Khalil Gibran

Our minds are like an artists’ canvas,

Masters of knowledge and insight filter our worlds,

Splashing bright colors of vibrancy to rest within,

Teachers that push us to succeed and have goals,

Their paintbrush dipped into colors of encouragement,

Igniting us into flames of pursuit to alter our lives,

A part of our very destiny is weaved into their beings,

A variety of teachers instill great lessons for us to learn,

Changing our paths to grant us the most peace,

Eternally bound to us too  change us forever.

“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.”

La Dame Blanche

La Dame Blanche was a unique woman,

A supernatural being of ancient myths of France,

Visiting in the color of purity,

Symbolic of doves wings and diamonds,

The Lady in White is known to haunt the souls of man,

Floating between parallel spaces of time,

A present clock that ticks to the flesh of others to tame,

Or

The future of her spirit and others.

A Myth of France that I twisted into purity.

The Spiritual Stage

In couplet on May 3, 2011 at 12:42 am

garden

The world is a spiritual stage comparable to a vineyard,

Sifting through either blossoms, weeds or thorns.

The blossoms bloom the most vibrant of worthy colors,

Picking them to preserve in an eternal vase on your desk.

The weeds we pluck out and discard them in our composts,

Hoping they will be churned and turned into gold fertilizer.

The thorns prick and leave scars that remain bleeding you,

With their sting they destroy  the rest of  the vineyard.

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.

**I went with the scripture from Paul of a thorn of satan sent to him. A person.
